Her Crime (feat. Alison Johnson)

by Storm of Crows

/

about

Written by Matt's step cousin in their 2001 band Second Storm, this is a song that Kathy admitted was probably a product of all the crap soap operas she was watching at the time. Fast forward to 2021 and Matt's friend Alison expresses an interest in singing a song for them so they put this one together, and I think you'll agree she smashed it!

lyrics

It's such a heart breaking scene
Looking at her face
Tear stained and no hope with human race
Looking like she's hurting
With no comfort around
But this is just her fine
For committing such a crime

He looks at her and smiles
You're sweet you know you are
But this is just one step you've taken too far
I don't mean to hurt you
It simply happens this way
But this is just her fine
For committing such a crime

She turns away
Nothing left to say, nothing left to prove
Confessing her crime
What a stupid thing to do, admitting that I love you

Now she's all alone and feels
Emptiness in her heart
Life isn't worth living
Her dreams have fallen apart
She wonders what made her love him
And why she's suffering now
But this is just her fine
For committing such a crime

She turns away
Nothing left to say, nothing left to prove
Confessing her crime
What a stupid thing to do, admitting that I love you

[Guitar Solo]

She turns away
Nothing left to say, nothing left to prove
Confessing her crime
What a stupid thing to do, admitting that I love you

about

Storm of Crows Sheffield, UK

Storm of Crows is a rock band based in Sheffield and Stockport, in the UK. Originally in various bands at the end of the 1990s, we reformed during Covid lockdown in 2020 to record some of our old songs, and write a few new ones as well. We're not the best band in the world, but we're having a blast doing what what we're doing, and we think that comes across in our music. We hope you like it too. ... more
